By the Goodness of Your Grace

"Ah! Cyrus!" Isa yelped through gasps of laughter.
Cyrus smiled in response, knowing karma would come back to bite him in the butt for jumping out from behind an open door in his (somewhat) successful attempt to scare Isa. Honestly, it was done a whim; something that Cyrus would never have considered doing on any given normal day. Today, however, was far from normal. The young vampire gave the place a once over, probably for the fifteen hundredth time, as the reality of it all still hadn't quite sunk it yet. The rooms were bare and the air was chilled in the emptiness but all the same it was home. It was more than home. It was their home.
Isa turned around in Cyrus's arms to face him and wrapped her own tenderly around his neck. God, there would never be a day where her stunning beauty never ceased to leave him speechless. "Happy to be home, are you?"
Cyrus grinned and leaned into Isa's lips as he took them with his own. It was astonishing how each kiss was like the first; the taste that was purely Isa was just as potent and tantalizing as it was then and every caress of their tongues had Cyrus's heart jumping out of his chest like always. Most times it all seemed too good to be true and Cyrus had to wonder who on earth decided he deserved someone so sweet and loving like Isa. The rest of the time he was simply too engrossed in her and being with her to care.
They broke away from the kiss slowly, like the parting of their lips proved to painful to do. Breaths intermingled and quick glances were exchanged before bashfully being diverted as they stood in each other's arms long after the end of the kiss. Hours must've passed but at that moment, time seemed irrelevant. If he could, Cyrus would rather stay in Isa's embrace than be anywhere else in the world.
Isa finally looked up and locked her striking emerald eyes with Cyrus, a cute smile lining her lips. "... Come on, Cy. Help me think of what to get for our wonderful home together."

  1. Isa's heart pounded against her chest as they reluctantly broke away from each other to walk through their new place. Both of them sporting the biggest enthusiastic smiles as they bounced around ideas for what the rooms would be.
"Cyrus, this is perfect! Your equipment could go there," Isa led Cyrus inside one of the larger rooms towards the back and pointed to an area by a large window with the most spectacular view of the city. "and if you need inspiration you could just look out there! Oh!" She turned towards the other side of the room and spotted the slide doors that led out to a small balcony. She was sure it wasn't possible, but her heart seemed to race even faster as she felt excitement rush through her. "I can use that side as my studio!"
Cyrus laughed as she dragged him over, for what seemed like the first time(but really it was more like the hundredth) , to get a good look at the space.
"Won't you be distracted by the music?"
Isa laughed. "Cy, I love your music. If anything it'll be inspirational." A soft blush found its way to his cheeks as he looked away. He was still not used to compliments, which was fine with her, it was adorable to see that shy smile of his whenever she did.
"Come on,Cy, we still have to decide which room our bedroom is going to be in." Whatever faint blush was there before had now flourished into full blown red cheeks. He nodded, a spark of something she couldn't quite place lit behind his steel blue eyes. She had the most curious little vampire, didn't she?
"I. . I think I kinda. . . already had an idea for the bedroom." Isa turned an astonished look to Cy.
"Oh? You've been thinking about our bedroom?" She teased him. He looked absolutely flustered, making him look all the more adorable to Isa. "Well," She took hold of his hand and smiled up at him, "tell me which room you saw fit." He turned his face away from her, trying to hide the growing smile on his face. Interesting, she thought, it seemed that Cy was just full of little surprises.
He led them down the hallway towards another room. She knew exactly which one it was, but was curious as to why he chose this room. It wasn't until he pointed out a detail she had somehow overlooked that she understood.
"See," He pointed up towards the ceiling, directing her attention to a glass panel on the very top. It was a sun roof, the glass itself was dark enough to keep most of the light out but she was sure at night, the stars would shine brightly above them. How had she missed that? "I thought. . . It would be nice to . . . fall asleep under the sky."
"Perfect." She breathed. Excitement once again found her as she began to think of them sleeping together every night. Being able to spend every moment together brought . . . joy to Isa. So much so, that she swung her arms around Cyrus, catching him by surprise, and brought him in for another kiss. His taste once again filled Isa's senses, never failing to make her heart accelerate with ever beat. She still could not believe this was all happening! Sometimes, Isa found herself reaching out just to touch Cy to make sure he was real and that somehow. . . he actually accepted her. She could have kept kissing him, would have, until the end of time itself but he broke away almost abruptly.
    "Cy-?"
"I'm-I'm just gonna g-get some water." And he was gone out the door. Isa was left confused, but she still couldn't help the amused smile that spread across her face. His scent still lingered around her, dark and sweet. But another was thrown into the mix, one that she was quite familiar with. She couldn't help the grin that grew as she walked casually to the kitchen where Cy stood behind the island with a bottle of water. He stiffened when he heard her come in and turned away, but not before she saw that adorable blush on his cheeks.

  2. "You. . .Ok, Cy?"
He nodded, still turned away from her before taking another swing of the water.
"You sure?" She got closer. He moved away.
"I'm f-fine. I. . ." His voice squeaked as he glanced at her with the corner of his eye. She advanced further, acting as nonchalantly as she could, but the smirk she wore on her face pretty much gave it all away.
"Cyrus, you're a bad liar you know." She closed the distance between them, her arms trapping his escape.
"I-Isa, I C-can explain-" Cyrus sputtered as he tried to lean away from her as much as he could.
"Oh, Cy," She clasped her hands gently around his face in an effort to calm him down. It helped only enough to have him slightly uncomfortable and not in a full blown panic. Was he really ashamed for feeling arousal? She probably shouldn't have seen the situation as cute, but she couldn't help but smile tenderly up at him in hopes of further reassuring him. "You never have to hide this from me you know." Her hands traveled downward until they came to rest on his chest. His breath picked up, his gaze followed her every movement as he finally began to relax. She led him with her touch, guiding him until Isa found herself on the counter of the island. Her legs wrapped around Cyrus's hips as she took his mouth again. He was no longer that timid boy she met months ago. Much to her amazement, Isa watched him slowly come out of his shell. She felt absolute pride that he no longer needed much of her guidance at all. Perhaps a little push here or there, but otherwise. . . Cy was. . . comfortable with this part. At least, that what she hoped and noted when Cy's hand pushed up the hem of her skirt. His movements held a timid confidence in them, pausing only to make sure that she was with him.
She grinned against his lips as she encouraged him by shifting herself to arch into every touch. She felt him gasp when she grated her hips against his, feeling him harden against her.
"Cyrus. . ." She moaned, already getting lost in her vampire. He moaned right with her, and completely surprised her when she heard the tear of the silk fabric underneath her skirt.
Her hands made quick work of his jeans. They were completely immersed in the moment, their tongues warred with each other, only stopping in between to catch their breaths. Their arms bringing each other closer, moving together as they explored each other. Gods. . . This was all before she felt Cyrus pull away from their kiss, the heat of his breath trailing down her neck until she felt the rasp of his fangs against the base.
She nearly came from just that. She had no idea why it was such a turn on for her, but she nearly came apart then and there.
"N-Now. .. Cy." Her voice shook slightly at the passion that she was feeling. She wanted him now, she needed to feel him. Gods, how was he able to drive her so crazy, so easily? She didn't know, and at this point, she didn't really care. The only thing that mattered was that she was with someone she completely trusted and . . . loved.

  3. Cyrus panted, practically pushed over the edge from just the friction alone. There was still so much left of Isa he had yet to explore, so much more there was to do with her. Her taste alone could reduce anyone into a frenzy of desire; the soft, cool of her skin that slid against his hands was like heaven in and of itself. Cyrus nipped tenderly along the length of Isa's collarbone, steadily eliciting moans and strained arches of her hips against his the longer his fanged kisses traveled across the beauty of her skin. It wasn't anything like an expected first time in a new home together but this was in no way anything but perfect.
"God... I-Isa," gasped Cyrus, taking once more the precious lips of the miracle that was his beloved.
"Oh, Cyrus, you really must learn to close all the doors during these times."
Cyrus choked out his next gasp for air, the flame in his body near instantly going cold. His hands were frozen upon Isa's hips; his eyes almost bursting with how wide they'd become at the sound of that voice. The heat that had built up in Cyrus's stomach now flew to his cheeks with as much intensity as it had before. He ducked his head down ever so slightly, the incessant mental curses berating Cyrus's mind until its volume consumed everything else. Unable to withstand the silence, Cyrus peeked around Isa to find the woman of cyan blue hair and glinting violet eyes.
Dusk cocked her head expectantly, her gaze showing no signs of amusement. "Are you not going to invite me in?"
Cyrus couldn't help when his mouth hung open slightly in disbelief and when his gaze shifted quickly to Isa's equally embarrassed gaze, his mother waved her hand, exasperated. "Well, go on then! Make yourselves decent at least! Or however you two think is the equivalent of decent, I suppose; there IS a difference, you know."
The sharpness of Cyrus's still elongated fangs practically punctured his lip as he held back a rude reply and he returned his sights back to Isa. Embarrassment and discomfort couldn't even begin to describe how much toiled beneath those emerald eyes. A small, encouraging smile lined the young vampire's lips; all they had to do was make it through this visit... and hopefully it wouldn't be an extended one, at that.
His hands still encompassing her, Cyrus slowly brought Isa down from the island counter as he refused to meet either of the woman's gazes. He let Isa redress herself as she saw fit; for some reason, Cyrus's assistance would only seem to benefit Dusk more than anyone else and he wasn't about to do things for her sake. Not this time, at least.
Once the both of them were situated, Cyrus moved out from behind the island and toward the front door where his mother stood. After a moment's pause, he extended his hand out and backward like he was putting the house on display. Dusk took the invitation and took a step forward... but not before throwing her arms wide open as she encased Cyrus in a bone crushing hug.
"My, aren't you growing up so fast," Dusk murmured in his ear, the enthusiasm blatantly forced, almost as if her attention was not completely upon her youngest son. To confirm Cyrus's suspicions, his mother added louder, "It will be a hard endeavor. Oh, but I'm sure the both of you will have something to comfort each other with through those dark times, right?"
God... this was going to be a long day.

  4. Isa stood awkwardly next to the island, refusing to move away from it as if it could offer some protection against the frightening woman. Her hands needed something, anything to keep them occupied and so she found herself playing furiously with the hem of her shirt.

Please don't let it be who I think it is, please don't let it be who I think it is. . . the thought repeated in Isa's mind like a broken disk but it was one she prayed to anyone listening! God. . . no please. . .

The woman drew away from Cyrus, the smallest of smile twitched on her lips as she looked him over. Somehow. . . that had to be the most terrifying smile Isa had ever seen, especially when those bright violet eyes snapped up to hers. If looks could kill, Isa was sure she would have dropped dead in that instant.

"Cyrus, darling, I believe you haven't introduced us properly." God. . . that voice. The woman held a terrifying grace, one that reminded her of her days at court. She had met many Lords and Ladys then. Even the queen once, and none of them could even compare to the amount and elegant intimidation the female before her possessed. Isa had to reach into every ounce of her self control to keep herself from dashing out the door at full speed. Breathe Isa, breathe.

Cyrus turned away from the woman's arms, an apologetic gaze found hers as he took a deep breath. "Mother," The blood in Isa's vein's ran cold. No, she moaned inwardly. "This is. . .Isa. Isa, this is my mother."

Yep. . . that door was looking pretty inviting right about now.

"Nice to finally meet you, Isa. What a great first impression." Maybe the window would be an easier route. . .

"Ah," Isa cleared her throat as she tried to make something of the embarrassing situation. "I-It's nice to meet you-"
"Cyrus, why don't you show me around. I would love to see what you two have planned out for this place. I'm sure you two have been working very hard to come up with great ideas for your new home."

Death never sounded so good to Isa as it did now.

"Right, umm. . . follow me." Cyrus made his way to Isa first and she couldn't have been more grateful when he took her shaking hand in his and gave a gentle squeeze of reassurance. The amount of relief that rushed through Isa was enough to unlock her muscles and actually allow her blood circulation to not accumulate solely at her cheeks. She didn't even want to imagine how red she was from humiliation. "It'll be ok, Isa." She heard the soft whisper of her vampire against her ear. She wanted to say something, anything really to show she wasn't . . . _that_ . . . frightened but,the only response she could muster was the quick nod of her head before letting Cy lead her through the situation.
